Overview

Rinkitink in Oz by L. Frank Baum centers on Prince Inga of Pingaree, whose island kingdom is attacked and whose parents are taken away. With the jovial King Rinkitink, a talking goat, and a set of magical pearls, Inga sets out to rescue them and recover his home. Although Oz enters later in the story, the novel shares the series' blend of resourceful children, enchanted objects, comic travel, and faith in courage over brute force.
